AeroNotes is a text editor for Windows computers. It makes use of the Aero glass feature on Windows Vista to become partially transparent while allowing you to type and read on it. Thus, you get a text editor that can be placed almost anywhere on the screen and remains intelligible at all times. The feature list for AeroNotes is nothing to write home about. It has the basic features you would find in Notepad, for example. You can type text, and find it and replace it, but you can't really format it any more than that. You can change the font, the text color, and the size, and that is all. For the application to be transparent and really work as it was intended, your system must have a modern graphics card or else the application will show a white background. I tried it on a computer which didn't meet the basic requirements, and it was like playing with a stripped down version of Notepad; something I didn't think possible. If you do have what it takes to use this transparency effect, AeroNotes could come in handy for taking notes when you can't simply switch between windows or when you want to keep your attention on a screen but still be able to write somewhere else.
